He wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.
He makes the clouds his chariot
and rides on the wings of the wind.
He makes winds his messengers,
flames of fire his servants (Psalm 104:2-4 NIV).
Dear God, You made everything there is.
All the resources of heaven are Yours
to use as You see fit.
What did You do before You created the world?
Did You just enjoy the companionship of the Godhead
until You chose to make the angels?
Why did You make such fickle, selfish creatures as human beings?
Did You conceive them as something that would glorify You?
Lord, take me, one of Your most humble works,
and craft me into the woman You had in mind when You designed me.
Draw me close to You
and help me reflect You. Amen.

It wouldn’t let me leave a comment, but I liked this one particularly. Donna
