The Psalm Project #47

Bible Open to Psalms

But I have stilled and quieted my soul;
like a weaned child with its mother,
like a weaned child is my soul within me (Psalm 131:2).

Dear God, Have I learned to still and quiet my soul?
I panic when my circumstances are out of my control.
I want to manipulate the situation to benefit me.

Help me remember my destiny is already under control—Yours.
All I need to do is lay it at Your feet
and trust everything will work out according to Your plan.
I don’t even have to cry, though I will pour out my heart to You.

Lord, I am learning to trust You.
Nothing can touch me
except what is designed to transform me into the image of Your Son.
Thank You for Your love
and the way it nurtures me every moment of my life. Amen.
